Liam's 2...Hadrien's 3

The last time we can celebrate our boys birthdays together without complaining...Liam had cake on his actual 2nd birthday with just the four of us since everyone but mom was ill. Then on Hadrien's birthday we did a small party for both boys. They are growing up, getting bigger everyday and we are blessed.

Liam's cake celebration.

We love CAKE!!!

Cake made by Tia Sonia and Tio Tim...have we mentioned we love Thomas.

December 2010

By the end of December much had transpired:

  • We went to Douglas
  • Nana sprained her ankle on Christmas Eve
  • Christmas was celebrated
  • Hadrien had a cold (we thought)
  • Andrew came down with what we later found out was bronchitis (more on this later)
  • Liam also caught the "cold"
  • New Years Eve we stayed home
This may not seem like much...but boy it felt like A LOT. With that said here are some Christmas Eve photos.

The "knot" (yep I just gave it a name) Happy momma with her beer Hadrien pulling his brother in a wagon meant for stuffed bears...Liam loved climbing in and out of it and Hadrien loved to pull it so it worked out for both of them. Hadrien had just knocked his uncle over and uncle knocked his head on the music table...poor thing ;p And as suspected we couldn't hardly keep the boys away from the tree...at least Nana had a lot of non-breakable ornaments! Liam wanted the antler ears, but only for a minute would he wear them.

Liam and a ball

In December we went back to Douglas for Christmas...Liam had a blast throwing around a bouncy ball.

He had started walking and breaking teeth in October shortly after our last Douglas visit so by December he was pretty good at walking, eating and the occasional biting (usually momma suffered from the latter)

September 2010 (4)

There were so many good pictures from our trip, but I suppose I need to move on so here's the last of September...

Liam just loves his Tata! Both of the boys do...although after a few days everyone has had their fill ;)
Hadrien is wiped, so is Liam, come to think of it...so was everyone else!

Catch-up time

Ah yes...once again I've let months go by, life really does happen too fast! Well in September we took a trip to Douglas to visit everyone for (as) Andrew's birthday (present?). We had a blast. The boys love it at Nana and Tata's; they get to eat whatever they want, do (pretty much) whatever they want and all of the attention is on them! For the next couple of post (I'm sure it will take a few at least) will be some very cute pictures of family just being together!!!

Hadrien eating cookies and cake. Liam with Tia Sonia Mommy and Liam taking a break for a diaper change and tickle-fest! Nana being cheesy!

Family

The family endures because it offers the truth of mortality and immortality within the same group. The family endures because, better than the commune, kibbutz, or classroom, it seems to individualize and socialize its children, to make us feel at the same time unique and yet joined to all humanity, accepted as is and yet challenged to grow, loved unconditionally and yet propelled by greater expectations. Only in the family can so many extremes be reconciled and synthesized. Only in the family do we have a lifetime in which to do it. -Letty Cottin Pogrebi
