Look at Me

Hadrien thinks that he can just take off and go anywhere he wants! {He'll really be getting around by himself soon enough} He's a little goof ball sometimes...always keeping his Mama laughing!!! We were playing with a wet washcloth since it's a little warmer at Nana's than it is at home... he stays pretty happy when we are vacationing...such a good, sweet baby!

Look Nana, I WIN!!!
Hadrien is too cute in this one...he and I were playing on the floor and in this picture he happened to look up at just the right time and smile...it makes it look like he has me pinned down and he's sooooo proud of himself!!! This is one of Dad's favorite pictures!!!

Nana Barbara is getting him started early...this rosary was the perfect size for him to play with...it was his favorite toy all weekend!

2nd Vacation

We took another trip to Douglas this past weekend and we all had a great time! Hadrien is becoming more and more interested in feeling new textures and putting everything in his mouth {including paper/books, his pooh bear blanket, couches, blankets and burp rags, spoons, rattles, etc} to soothe his poor gums...(teething is no fun)! Unfortunately the kid doesn't really care for his teething rings and not so unfortunately prefers mom's hand to everything else! This of course means that mom gets to spend all day holding him when teething makes for a bad day...it's the only thing that comforts him and I love being able to soothe him!

Great G-ma's B-Day Party

Last month the whole family got together down in Douglas to celebrate Grandma's birthday...for some it was the first time that they were meeting baby Hadrien and as you can tell EVERYONE loves him!!! He did really well considering he was passed around like a hot potato for awhile and also considering it was his first big car trip. There were only a couple of people who didn't make it to the party and we missed them, but as for the rest of us...We had a BLAST!!! It was so much fun visiting with everyone and watching the kids run around in the yard, the food was awesome (of course) and it was really cool to watch Hadrien enteracting with everyone!

This has to be one of the best pictures...Andy's cousin (Brian) holding Hadrien...even the kids love him to death!!! I am so blessed to be a parent...and I love watching everyone with him...
Of Course Grandma and Grandpa got to spent a lot of time with the boy as well...although with everyone else visiting with him they would probably say they didn't get quite enough time with him!!! One of the best things is just watching Hadrien and Grandpa Hal starin' at each other and watching Nana Barbara watch him whenever he's being fed!!! All in all it was a wonderful weekend and we were all blessed to be able to get together!

Family

The family endures because it offers the truth of mortality and immortality within the same group. The family endures because, better than the commune, kibbutz, or classroom, it seems to individualize and socialize its children, to make us feel at the same time unique and yet joined to all humanity, accepted as is and yet challenged to grow, loved unconditionally and yet propelled by greater expectations. Only in the family can so many extremes be reconciled and synthesized. Only in the family do we have a lifetime in which to do it. -Letty Cottin Pogrebi
