More from Baptism

Here are a couple more pictures, also from Hadrien's Baptism. Mom and Dad are both very proud of their little boy!

Here we are with Hadrien's God parents Tracey and Mike (Uncle Rico/Superman Enthusiast...see pic below for proof). Tracey is the Youth Minister and Mike is the Ministries Coordinator for our church, they are both very dear friends of ours. Hadrien is very lucky to have them both!

Hadrien's Baptism

Hello,
On April 13, 2008 we celebrated a very special day! Hadrien was Baptised Catholic at our church (Church of the Resurrection. As you can see Mom and Dad are very, very happy! Hadrien is passed out while Father Joe stares Mike (Hadrien's God Father) down. (Too Funny!!)
This was a very special occasion not only because our son received his first sacrament but also because it was the anniversary our special pilgrimage to Medjugorje to pray for the blessing of a child. It was on this same day that we climbed up a hill to pray at the very site that the Virgin Mary has been appearing to a group of young men and women for the past 27 years. We are both very thankful for all that we have been given in Hadrien and each other. Jessica and I have been blessed in so many ways with Hadrien, THANK GOD for his GRACE!

Family

The family endures because it offers the truth of mortality and immortality within the same group. The family endures because, better than the commune, kibbutz, or classroom, it seems to individualize and socialize its children, to make us feel at the same time unique and yet joined to all humanity, accepted as is and yet challenged to grow, loved unconditionally and yet propelled by greater expectations. Only in the family can so many extremes be reconciled and synthesized. Only in the family do we have a lifetime in which to do it. -Letty Cottin Pogrebi
