Look at Me

Hadrien thinks that he can just take off and go anywhere he wants! {He'll really be getting around by himself soon enough} He's a little goof ball sometimes...always keeping his Mama laughing!!! We were playing with a wet washcloth since it's a little warmer at Nana's than it is at home... he stays pretty happy when we are vacationing...such a good, sweet baby!

Look Nana, I WIN!!!
Hadrien is too cute in this one...he and I were playing on the floor and in this picture he happened to look up at just the right time and smile...it makes it look like he has me pinned down and he's sooooo proud of himself!!! This is one of Dad's favorite pictures!!!

Nana Barbara is getting him started early...this rosary was the perfect size for him to play with...it was his favorite toy all weekend!

2nd Vacation

We took another trip to Douglas this past weekend and we all had a great time! Hadrien is becoming more and more interested in feeling new textures and putting everything in his mouth {including paper/books, his pooh bear blanket, couches, blankets and burp rags, spoons, rattles, etc} to soothe his poor gums...(teething is no fun)! Unfortunately the kid doesn't really care for his teething rings and not so unfortunately prefers mom's hand to everything else! This of course means that mom gets to spend all day holding him when teething makes for a bad day...it's the only thing that comforts him and I love being able to soothe him!

Great G-ma's B-Day Party

Last month the whole family got together down in Douglas to celebrate Grandma's birthday...for some it was the first time that they were meeting baby Hadrien and as you can tell EVERYONE loves him!!! He did really well considering he was passed around like a hot potato for awhile and also considering it was his first big car trip. There were only a couple of people who didn't make it to the party and we missed them, but as for the rest of us...We had a BLAST!!! It was so much fun visiting with everyone and watching the kids run around in the yard, the food was awesome (of course) and it was really cool to watch Hadrien enteracting with everyone!

This has to be one of the best pictures...Andy's cousin (Brian) holding Hadrien...even the kids love him to death!!! I am so blessed to be a parent...and I love watching everyone with him...
Of Course Grandma and Grandpa got to spent a lot of time with the boy as well...although with everyone else visiting with him they would probably say they didn't get quite enough time with him!!! One of the best things is just watching Hadrien and Grandpa Hal starin' at each other and watching Nana Barbara watch him whenever he's being fed!!! All in all it was a wonderful weekend and we were all blessed to be able to get together!

More from Baptism

Here are a couple more pictures, also from Hadrien's Baptism. Mom and Dad are both very proud of their little boy!

Here we are with Hadrien's God parents Tracey and Mike (Uncle Rico/Superman Enthusiast...see pic below for proof). Tracey is the Youth Minister and Mike is the Ministries Coordinator for our church, they are both very dear friends of ours. Hadrien is very lucky to have them both!

Hadrien's Baptism

Hello,
On April 13, 2008 we celebrated a very special day! Hadrien was Baptised Catholic at our church (Church of the Resurrection. As you can see Mom and Dad are very, very happy! Hadrien is passed out while Father Joe stares Mike (Hadrien's God Father) down. (Too Funny!!)
This was a very special occasion not only because our son received his first sacrament but also because it was the anniversary our special pilgrimage to Medjugorje to pray for the blessing of a child. It was on this same day that we climbed up a hill to pray at the very site that the Virgin Mary has been appearing to a group of young men and women for the past 27 years. We are both very thankful for all that we have been given in Hadrien and each other. Jessica and I have been blessed in so many ways with Hadrien, THANK GOD for his GRACE!

Hadrien's Nappy Nap

Hadrien received a small Pooh Bear blanket/rattle/teether at his baby shower and we have been getting him to play with it lately. So I walked in on the little mister taking his nap today and found the cutest thing in the whole world....damn I love kids...they are way too cute, God made them just right!!! (This stuff definetly makes up for the nights when he is fussy.) :-)

First Outing

This is Hadrien at the Renissance Festival...we were taking a rest and playing/talking! It was his first time in his stroller and his first major outing...we had a blast and luckily the weather was perfect. Hadrien is a very strong boy and likes to put weight on his legs and hold his head up all the time...he would take off and get into everything if he could!!!

The GREAT Uncle Rico...

This is Baby Hadrien and his God-father...who is OBSESSED with Superman...just kidding Mike!!! If the outfit wasn't so warm Hadrien would wear it every Sunday just for his Uncle Rico...too cute aren't they!

April Visit

So this past weekend Krista and her family came to Arizona for a long awaited visit. We had a blast, the babies (Hadrien and Maverick) were introduced to each other and they loved playing...Maverick is too cute! We bbq'd and almost everyone made it...we missed Preston and Arin, but there's always next time and we were thinking of them the whole time!

Grandma Kathy was in Baby Heaven!!! Maverick loves touching, talking (squealing) and playing with Hadrien...both of them are sooooo busy and neither one wanted to sleep (afraid that they were going to miss out on something)...It's awesome that all of us girls are experiencing parenthood, there is nothing like it...and soon John will join the ranks!
When the day is over and everyone has gone home...boy are we TIRED!!! Hadrien loves his little Pooh Bear blanket and Mom leaves him in his car seat so as not to wake him...it was a much needed nap!
So those are a few pics from the trip, I know they are all baby pics but those are the best ones since they grow so fast...it was an awesome visit and all of us really had a GREAT time!!! All of us here in AZ sure miss all you out in CA...love ya!!

Getting big...

This is a more recent photo of Hadrien and Daddy...it was Hadrien's first time in his baby carrier! He's not quite big enough here but he really loves being able to see what we are doing from this front view...plus it's easier for mom to get some stuff done during the day since he LOVES being held!

Just getting started...

Hello everyone...we are just getting this blogging thing down, so please be patient as we try to find the time to update w/ pics and stuff...Andy and I are doing great...the baby is absolutely wonderful and getting big (it seems like he grows every time I turn around!) Hadrien definitely keeps us both busy, but I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world! Speaking of which he's waking up from his nap...will definitely get more on here soon! Love you all!!

Family

The family endures because it offers the truth of mortality and immortality within the same group. The family endures because, better than the commune, kibbutz, or classroom, it seems to individualize and socialize its children, to make us feel at the same time unique and yet joined to all humanity, accepted as is and yet challenged to grow, loved unconditionally and yet propelled by greater expectations. Only in the family can so many extremes be reconciled and synthesized. Only in the family do we have a lifetime in which to do it. -Letty Cottin Pogrebi
